You can take The Business of Cannabis and/or Horticulture as a Live-Classroom Semester student or as a Self-Paced online student. This article will address the difference between the formats to help decide which is most optimal for you.
Live-Classroom Semester Programs consist mainly of 17 weekly classes including orientation delivered through video conference in our Live-Classroom. Classes are interactive and presented live by our professional faculty, which means you can ask questions and network with your classmates. Semester programs also involve a capstone group project where you work together with other students to put together a plan for a fictitious business or industrial grow operation. Students may also have opportunities to participate in field trips and extra-curricular events. Semester Programs are ideal for students who prefer an interactive learning environment and who are looking to maximize opportunities to network with our faculty and other students.
Self-Paced Programs give you access to all the content, videos, and images, as well as Mastery Exercises and Quizzes of the program for 1 year (365 days). This allows you to go through the material at your own pace to earn your certificate. There are no scheduled classes or group work, and you can always reach out to our Student Services Department with any questions, and we will make sure to get you an answer from our faculty. The Online program is ideal for motivated students who like to set their own learning pace, students who want to complete their program quickly, and those who are unable to attend scheduled classes.
You also have a chance to complete our Career Quiz for course recommendations based on your cannabis interests.
