Upon completing one of our certification programs, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. Our certification programs are built and taught by some of the industry’s most experienced and respected cultivators, business owners, and advocates. Completing an OU certification program demonstrates mastery of a wide range of scientific and practical knowledge that is critical to success in the commercial cannabis industry and demonstrates a commitment to continued learning.
Once receiving the certification from us, you are encouraged to list Oaksterdam University under the “Special Training” Section of your resume and include OU as a reference for employment. The certification also helps separate you from the crowd when applying for a license or permit. Alumni will find themselves prepared for competitive careers, entrepreneurship, and advocacy in all facets of the industry.
Many state and local regulators are looking for individuals already educated in the cannabis industry as top candidates for the permits they issue. They recognize that an OU graduate is an educated advocate for a safe and sustainable industry. Certified graduates may provide prospective employers or regulators with OU’s main phone number, (510) 251-1544. We will verify certified graduates when contacted.
