The self-paced classes expire 1 year from the day that you start the class, not from the date of purchase. Therefore, you can purchase the class and wait until you are ready to start without worrying that it will expire.
If you are approaching the expiration date and realize you will need more time to complete your program, you can request an extension to your program by emailing support@oaksterdamuniversity.com
